How to select many object at the same time

Post by androidcore.com »

I have a map in dae (collada format), I use Blender to import it, please see image: http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2328/blender.jpg . Now I want to delete an area, how can I select an area to delete? I try to use Ctrl + right to select one by one, but if it has 2000 objects, it's very difficult to make 2000 click. How can I do that?

Thanks,

Have you checked the manual?
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:Manual

Possible ways include hiding objects you don't want to select, move them to separate layers, area selection and others.

Yes, I checked, I tried, but I cannot find the way to select 100 objects by one click. For example, I trie to right click, then hold, then drag to try to select an area, but it does not work.

Type b (border select), marquee select the area you want. Release the mouse. If you're selecting a lot of polys/objects wait a minute while Blender catches up.
Works on both Object (for selecting objects) and Edit (selecting verts/edges or faces) modes.
