This link suddenly appeared in front of me when i was in #blenderchat yesterday :P

I don't know wether this could be useful or not, but....

Cloth simulation exactly what i really want in Blender. I think this should be discussed by the Functionality Board, which i subscribed to earlier. Ill post a message on there now. We need to experienced coders to get on board and try and implement it.

I've found another links for cloth simulation. Any chance of getting this one into Blender?

I hope i'm not getting annoying with this :P
Programming cloth simulation from scratch might be a pain in the lower rear part of the body, so i'm suggesting links for projects that are already done.

wow, i'd be a great feature, and moreover OpenSource!

Don't be shy, i know you can do it!

it isn't an emergency, sure....

maybe THE way to get additional features implemented

well I proposed this "method" months ago - there are so many specialized stand alone tools that could be an enrichment for blender. I was actually thinking of some kind of PR for getting interesting developers involved in the blender project. Not sure how this should be made, though.

Actually I have no idea how easy or hard it would be to implement "foreign" code into blender, but maybe it's worth a try.

what about SimCloth v3

It went open source (GNU) several months ago now too. I think the original Blender cloth sim was based on the older version or concepts, wasn't it?

Hehe.. It's precisely what is the most expensive in a 3D pkg :).

Anyway, i'm not against this. Dynamic rigid bodies etc etc
