3DConnexion and Blender 2.5.3 beta
Hi all,
since May 18, 2010 no further information here regarding 3DConnexion and Blender 2.5.3 beta.
I am working on Mac OS X 10.6.4 Snow Leopard on an iMac 27" Intel i7.
Will there be a solution (if yes when?) to make SpacePilot/3DConnexion working Blender 2.5.3 beta?
Thanks for any help!

SpaceNavigator fails on XP as well blender 2.53
Just wanted to add that Blender 2.49 works well with SpaceNavigator (Windows XP - 32 bit), but fails with 2.53. This is most probably on 3DConnection, but there are a number of us (on several platforms) that use this tool.

Not all off them, just the guy that replied to my e-mail by restating the problem I asked him. Anywho I recieved another e-mail saying that there is no plans as of right now to update the plug-in.
PS: If you wish to write and ask for the plug-in.

I received the following from 3Dconnexions when asking about Blender 2.5X support. I think this answers the question if they are going to help.nchampley wrote:Not all off them, just the guy that replied to my e-mail by restating the problem I asked him. Blender i believe is an open source application.
Our programmers created a beta driver a few years back but discontinued
updating the add-in, due to too new software updates and new device rollouts.
It would be better if Blender added support natively.
This would allow the device to run more smoothly in the application.

I would suggest contacting Blender to ask them to add support into the application. We do have the SDK they can use to implement support.
The link is on our website under
