Feature Thought: Blender and Yafray

Not so much a request, just and idea - I tried searching first and didn't see anything - so if this has already been discussed please excuse me.

I think it is important that Blender play nice with friends. PHP has been a hugely successfuly OSS project. Many would agree that a key component to that success was the tight integration with MySQL, a related but seperate project. I think the same could work for Blender.

People seem to always be asking about raytracing. It seems Yafray is a popular choice. Could Blender's and Yafray's development teams coordinate efforts to better integrate their complementary products? Out of the box, no script necessary support for an external raytracer would seem like a potential plus for both Blender and Yafray.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I get this error when I try to access that forum

Code: Select all

FATAL 2: open of /sw/var/postgresql/data/pg_clog/0313 failed: No such file or directory server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.
a side effect of the crash/recovery?
