Loaded old Blender 2.4 scene, UI rearranged

Hi!

I'm currently learning Blender via the CG Cookie video tutorials and I'm happy having just reached the point where I'm able to do some basic modelling in Blender 2.58.

Now I tried to edit some models created in Blender 2.4x, but whenever I load those .blend files, my UI is rearranged to look like Blender 2.4.

Can I somehow load a .blend file without the UI state?
Or can I reset the UI to its defaults without losing the currently loaded scene?

Uncheck the Load UI box in the File-Open dialog.

Thank you, that did the trick.

I looked precisely for such an option, but that little checkbox escaped me until you spelled it out
