3d view changes aspect ratio

Post by peta » Fri Sep 02, 2011 8:45 am

Hello,
i experienced weird thing in blender and can't find out any solution (don't have a clue how to name it correctly).
Whenever I try to scroll in 3d scene (only in front/top/side view, not in user view), the view changes aspect ratio (sqares become rectangular). It turns "normal" when i release the mouse wheel, sometimes when i try to move the scene.
It is pretty annoying when happens while working. Have you experienced the same? Did anything help? Or, could reinstall help?
Thanks for any help

I'm using Blender 2.49 on Win7 and have no idea what else may matter.

Sir You better shift to Blender2.59
Blender 2.49 has various GL drawing issues.2.59 version is far too friendly and comes with tons of great features. So please shift your project from 2.49 to 2.5x

thanks for your reply.
the problem is i am used to work in 2.49 and due to not-photorealistic output of internal renderer and long time for rendering in yafaray i'm thinking of starting to use 3ds max.
which is another topic i have to handle soon

that's weird.. i solved it by joining the two 3D view windows (making the "good" one to remain) and re-splitting the screen
