hello everyone. I'm looking for some way to make the following media technologyes and file formats interact togheter, I was hoping in a future where Blender will but it's unlikely.
Now, these are the input/output file formats I would like to interchanghe:

formats

raster (jpg, png, etc)
vector (svg, pdf, swf)
3d (collada)
audio (wav, ogg, mp3)
video (mpeg 2, mpeg 4, flv)
text (txt, doc, xls, ppt, htm)

and these are the applications I have to make interacting each other

applications

text editor
image editor
vector graphics editor
3d modeler
digital audio workstation
non linear video editor
spreadsheet editor
presentation editor
graphics file viewer
pdf reader
flash player
3d viewer
multimedia player
image tracer
uv editor
beepmap synthesizer

finally, these are the basic features I need to work with

features

path extrusion/lofting
ocr
ascii art
video rendering for 3d animations
rasterization of vector graphics
rendering/raytracing
waveform display and ability to use it graphically
audio mixing in video
speech recognition converting speech to text
frame extraction from video
video as 3d texture
audio extraction from video
text to speech
subtitling

which application(s) could I use? Preferably for Windows.
Note each application have to interact with each other.

You mean you want ALL of them in a one single software??

Well blender can do:
>3d modeling
>raytracing
>video editing
>Video as textures
>UV editor
>Vector graphics support(Addon /Special build only)
>audio and video mixing
>support for
{"png","jpg","bmp","targa","tiff","svg","avi","mpeg","mp4","mov", "flv" etc.....}
are already there in Blender.
As for format interchange.Blender is backed by mighty ffmpeg.

Hey know what, in the upcoming version of blender, there will be 3d audio integration.

For subtitles, audio wave form display and editing, pdf reading, ocr, asci art....Well thats all up to the developers wish.I guess you can read pdf into blender via a python code.pyqt supports pdf reading. If called from blender it might work.

But I can surely say that there is no single software package that can do all the jobs.

For your work, you may use...
>Blender for all 3d,UV,rendering, etc...
>Adobe Photoshop (OR) GIMP
>Sony Vegas (OR) Premier pro for video editing
>Audacity /Adobe Sound Booth for audio editing.

I donno much about ocr/speech recognition. As for speech generation there are vocoloids. You might wanna google more information about it.

He did say he was using Windows. Ginormous All-in-One applications are typical there, where others would use a toolchain of apps.

no, I was meaning a set of tools which interact each other.
I would also mind a Linux solution.

I found this combination, please share experiences:
Blender 2.49, pantograph, clam, blenderoscsender
apparently I could do raster, vector and 3d graphics exporting to image formats, pdf, svg and swf. Music with Clam exporting to wav, ogg and mp3, video editing.
Blender includes a text editor and supports yafaray.
I'm just missing some non multimedia related functionality I could find in evolution, firefox and openoffice.
Any comment on this greatly appreciated.

You might have better luck asking this on the user forums at blenderartists.org . Expect more noise, though.

Blender, Office 2003/OpenOffice
The only thing I would expect these applications to have in common is the ability to save and load images and plain text files via the file system.

Inorder to get these apps interacting with each other., you must establish Inter Process communication between all these programs. This can be easily achieved via python. So start with understanding API of all 3 softwares and learn python in depth.
