bmesh problems...............

I'm using build 2.60a for the ppc and I've notice that bmesh don't work properly, I've tried to bevel an edge and after selecting bevel (hitting W) from the drop down list it took a 1 minute just activate and then 3minutes just perform the task. Is this being addressed?
