Non complete undo but...

...would be good if we have several temp .blends instead of only one.

Idea:
If we select [2-versions] in the Auto Save menu, then we can chose [Open recent-1] or [Open recent-2] to load a backup.
This way sure we have a enough old .blend in case the timer just saved the temp at this instant.

it'll be a good idea.

as a reminder, you could do incremental saving of your file by this sequence : F2, + ,enter.
A digit is added at the end of the filename according to the number of version saved.

I agree. What would also be good is if the temp filenames were actually meaningful, instead of just those numbers. For example, filename-20040107.temp.blend or something like that.
