Yes, forced to use a two button mouse here, so if anyone is thinking of it still, please don't toss that functionality.
I tried searching for the message suggesting it, looking for the response, but couldn't find it, sorry.
In Ton's Raytracing version that was posted awhile ago, the "emulate 3 button" was turned off. Man, is Blender hard to use without it!

Seeing as no one else has replied - I believe (correct me anyone if I am wrong) that the turning off of "emulate 3 button" in the raytracing version was a mistake/bug - I don't think it was actually a policy decision.

I have never understood why that button was there. I mean, having it turned ON doesn't remove the other functionality, it only adds to it. There seems to be no drawbacks for anybody if Emulate Three Buttons was always ON without a button to turn it off.

The button serves to confuse, and I think it would be better without it.
