why not create a button to see uv texture in edit mode
very useful for morphing

This should be automatic. It's very awkward to tweak a mesh in edit mode when the texture maps disappear!

Could we also have highlighted uv's on the mesh as well please?

I agree- but 1 thing at a time.

Draw UV Tex in edit mode- Would be good to see.

Why not just let the Shading dropdown work properly for edit mode? Try it, not all of the modes work for when in edit mode. I'd prefer this way of implementing it.

I agree with Monkeyboi. This way forms a unify workflow, of course the Draw menu (by pressing 'D') should work too.

Is their a coder we could petition to fix this? (I'm an artist learning Blender)
