Exporting from Blender to other formats

I'm a complete newbie to Blender and this is my first post here... don't be too hard on me if I sound stupid :P

I've been searching everywhere for some way to export from Blender to 3dsmax format and the closest thing that I found was a python script on freshmeat.net that was supposed to export to .ase, which 3dsmax can import. The only problem is, the script didn't work :(.

So, is there any way to export a mesh from Blender to 3d studio max?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Max can read DXF files... just save a DXF of the mesh and then import into Max.

Saving as DXF worked, the only problem I had was that I had three meshes forming one object, but still separate meshes. Saving to DXF moved them away from each other, would making the object into a single mesh fix this? If so, how do I do this?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yeah... if you join them together you should be ok... i seem to remember something like that happening to me too with DXFs and importing them into Max... It's been a whiles since i've used max...

Are there any error-messages in the console/DOS-Window? Did you try the script with an older blender version (2.23?)
