New tool - Sculpt Mesh - update first page Nov 7

Here are testing builds that you can use it with
This build should be recent enough for on windows

I don't see a recent enough OS X build, but there will probably be one later today.
IGNORE the warning that it needs to use 2.35, any of the recent CVS versions work.

A ZBrush-like! awesome! I love it! It would be really really great if this patch were commited into blender, because i think a python script tends to be slow...to use. Thanks!

It actually has fairly decent speed even on large meshes right now.
While it is nowhere near the 1.5 million polygons that ZBrush can handle, I'm doing okay speed on a mesh of 60,000 faces.
It will probably eventually be coded into C but that will have to wait till at least 2.36.

yea, though not mature, those tools are amazing. as i tried them is lept asking myself: "why the hell do i spend hours pulling vertices when objects can obviously be done with a stroke???" ok, i gave myself the answer - control. still a combination of both worlds would be close to the holy grail of CG-modelling
curious what the future will bring

Pretty interesting and clever stuff.
I like his idea of suggestive user interface.

The Teddy can be used in catoonish works very well. The commercial software curvy3d
is just a Teddy with advanced tools.
I also think sketchup
has common with Teddy.

I've played with both Teddy and the cloth tool.
Teddy I wasn't very impressed with. The cloth tool is excellent.
I've updated my sculpt mesh script see this thread for the latest news.

It is usable with current CVS and is really fast now.
I don't really see anything in common between teddy and sketchup. Sketchup is quite neat, and I think we'll see many of its inference features in the next version of blender (not 2.35 but 2.36).

Yeah I'm famillar with that tool as well. VRmesh is the best implementation I've come across. There is also an interesting tool in the implementation by the people who make Poser (can't think of its name offhand..).
