Advance Modelling Tools

Do the developers look at Wings3D and Silo for features?

Some features I like are

1) Wings3D's virtual mirror
2) Silo Topology tool

Silo looks like a great tool, it looks like a combination of blender with wings3d tools.

I know the developers are looking for a new way of mirror a mesh. but currently they iron out the bugs for a update-release.

About the topology tool, I don't even know what it is,
if you could explain it further.

The great thing aboout Wings3D's virtual mirror is that it isn't restricted to X/Y/Z axis.

The topology tool allows you to draw edgeloops on a high density mesh, and it automatically builds the low poly mesh from the edgeloops.
I think there are some videos on nevercenter's website. Worth checking out.

I'm also interested in project Messiah's use of bones/armatures for animation.
They have videos on their website on the use of armatures etc.

I think if Blender follow Wings3D/Silo/Messiah rather than Maya/XSI, then I think we will have an awesome modelling/animation package.

when the animation-refactoring will get its overhaul, (hopefully very soon!) we will probably see some work for armatures that will be a very good tool :)

I don't think blender will follow anything and will keep plotting it's own path.

First already exists, it just doesnt weld your mesh at the center.

Second could be good, there are much more important things to focus on at the moment.
