Feature proposal Updated

Hello,

after a long time i updated my feature proposal. I recognized that a lot of these things come true and Blender is better then ever!

does the V key do anything in edit mode?

why isn't merge [at center] the V key like it is in the uv editor?

...mhm, not a bad idea having merge menu on V! Can't see that V has a function in editmode (once it was direct change to vertex pint mode).

After all discussions i'm a fan of a cleaner and more uniform interface. I think the idea of moving color sliders into the color picker dialogue would be really fine.
I added the example that shows a fine and clean Yafray Mirror Transp Panel instead off what we have now:

I realized i forget the material panel, so one more picture for this. I added at the color picker dialogue with the possibility to copy and paste colors to/ from clipboard.

BTW: There are buttons at the save dialogue like "Releatives Path" and "Loading UI" that comes from the open dialogue.

You might want to take a look at the Buttons Information Architecture section in the BlenderDev wiki; the RGB sliders are being removed as you suggested in the new buttons layout.
Your idea of having the RGB sliders in the picker is good though.

Ahh, great to see Blender is geting better and better.

A feature that i dreamed too of the color picker is the possibility to copy and paste color:

If you hover over a color (without going to the picker) and press CTRL-C then go to another color bar, you can press CTRL-V to cut and paste the color already.

Thanx for the hint, but that is typical for Blender, there is a function but there is no hint or GUI element to use it.
May a copy and paste button would make this more clear ;)

Since Ctrl-C/V works with all the buttons, adding copypaste buttons would be tricky.

But it is usefull adding it at the color picker :) and the Tooltip for a color field could be: "RGB: 0.80 0.80 0.80 - Ctrl+C for copy and Ctrl+V for paste"

Notes/ Annotation for objects

I renembered in 3dsMax you can leave notes directly on the properties of an object.
In Blender an Empty object has mostly a special task and after sometimes a project is over it is hard to remember what the special task of an empty was.
So it would be nice if an Empty object has a Notes field at the panel "Links and Materials:

Or have a special Notes panel for every object.

It would be very cool too have a python access to this Notes field for exporting the content of it too (may as annotation or for non supported features).
