Any way to change the focal point?

Post by artgeektopia »

Hello. I used to use Blender a couple of years ago, and I decided to try it out again. Heheh. It's a lot less confusing than it used to be.

I was wondering if there was any way to change the focal point of the camera. Such as a key you can press so the camera rotates around whatever you have selected instead of some random point in space.

It could be done via "Track To" constraint (Object-> Add Constraint).

I'm talking more of the viewpoint in the editor. While I'm editing an object I'd like to be able to rotat around whatever object I'm working with.

Right now, when I rotate the view it rotates around a random point in space, and it's rather annoying trying to get a good view of an object.

I suppose I could set up a temporary camera tho, and just move it around to look at the object...
