OMG!
Now you need to put that in the patch tracker ASAP!

it is already in the patch tracker and he emailed bf-committers.

From reading the patch the only hurdle I see is that he added another flag to the structs (that and we are in feature freeze...).

Yeah I looked at the code again today and cant really see a way around adding the flag. But on the bright side its there for any other function to use now too :D

Very nice, but I'd much more prefer it to work without any menu (for less mouse clicking).

ie. It could automatically default to Merge at Last Selected in Vertex mode, Collapse Edges in Edge mode and Collapse Faces in Face mode.

This is really awesome. The only thing still missing is a way of working with a bunch of verteces that aren't connected yet. You've made some sweet progress though.

I'm not sure what you mean by working with 'a bunch of vertices that are not connected yet'. Could you explain a little? Thanks for kind words BTW.

I changed it so that 'collapse faces' 'collapse edges' and 'at first' are at the TOP of the merge menu in their respective modes. Is this what you meant?

Heres the new patch.
