Rotating view Hides Model

Post by [gen2]Phorem »

I know this must be somewhere in these forums - and yes i tried to look first - but i can't seem to figure out why my model seems to vanish when i rotate the view in blender.

1. Import bsp map - works fine using the bsp python script

2. set to top view - no problem

3. rotate the model - PROBLEM

When i rotate it, some of (or all) of the model seems to vanish with respect to the angle i am looking at. I have seen this happen before when i import VRML or STL files. I just can't seem to figure out how to show the WHOLE model at all times at any angle.

Thanks. I hope this is an easy one.

either:
your view is centered at the wrong spot [hit the home key to center around visible stuff]

your view has the limits set wrong, go view-> view properties and set the clip end to something higher

If the clip end isn't too high, make the clip start lower.

Hi, sorry for the delay. Thanks for your replies. I noticed that Blender caps out at 10000 (i think it's that). Even at those settings, the clipping was still cutting off a bit - so i rescaled my model. Thank you for your time and replies.
