how far is it possible to give the subdiv code the option to work with UVs without distoring them?
poly objetcs are easyt o texture but when i turn on subdiv well the UV gets
messed up and a convert to mesh isnt a big option cause tha i have to deal with to many poly faces.
It's not in the orange branch. The patch is in the tracker, still waiting for some feedback. You can ask the testing build makers to apply it of course.
blendix (the author of the patch) stated already that he is waiting for feedback on the code The patch happened after CVS freeze, so like many other wonderful patches will need to wait for 2.41. He is the primary author of the lscm and other uv mapping stuff. I'm sure it will be scheduled for review at the next meeting, and likely committed not too long after that...
