Here http://blender.org/cms/Shape_Keys.678.0.html , I can read this
Shape Keys
Mesh, Curve, Lattice and Surface objects can each store multiple shapes (also known as Vertex Keys or RVKs), which can be animated using Ipo curves.
When I add a curve key it creates an empty key ! I can create an ipo curve for the shape key or multiples target keys but how to blend between them ?

Is there a tutorial about animating curve shapes on blender ?

Thanks

I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure this one out.
No one has replied to this post.
Is it possible?
It seems like a very basic feature.

What's the deal?

Use CTRL + H to add a Hook to a curve control point. Now you can animate the curve via the hook object (usually an empty)!
