Tested with inkscape files, it seems to work:

there is a new version, improved for gimp 2.0 path .

It seems that this script "export" meshes to polygons
My work imports svg "path" as "bezier curves" .

yeh I wrote that script ages ago and it is really crap. It can only export meshes (not path data) and it can't even do that properly because the camera-projection code is wrong.
Oh if only I had the time!
