a few questions about python

Post by dotblend »

q1 is it possible to get the rendertime of a render when it's done and put it into a textfile?

q2 is it possible to get this textfile from within blender and send it to a e-mail recipent?

q3 can blender get the systemconfiguration (things like OS, ram, videocard and blender internal benchmark results? and also put it in this txtfile?

(it's for a automated benchmark setup)

If you install Python along with Blender, you have access to all the facilities and libraries that Python provides.

Check out Help > System >Benchmark and Help > System > System Information ... in a User Preference panel. These simply run python scripts. If your running on OS X the actual scripts are held within the app container blender.app/Contents/MacOS/.blender/scripts
