First Beta Of X3d Exporter For Blender

The first beta of the x3d exporter is available: ...

It has the same features like the new VRML97 exporter version
2005/04/20: ...

Known bugs this time:
- DEF/USE work not correct
- Grouping nodes like Billboard and Collision will be inserted as
in VRML syntax

Bart, would you accept me cleaning your code up?
Just fix the indent tab geneartion and excessive use of round() is unneeded.

hi camp,
if you like to clean up the old code, did it. I planed this for the next version because it will be a complete rewrite.

When you like to do it for this version download the latest version of the vrml exporter: ...
and the x3d exporter: ...

Please send me the files back for further development.


PS: Change the version date too!

The new X3D exporter is ready too and now final (version 05/05/10): ...

It has the same features like the improved VRML exporter
(Version 2005/04/20): ...

So both are ready for the 2.37 release.

Documentation must grow a little bit more: ... web3d.html

Thanx to Ideasman for his coding hints, all the hints will be placed in the first step vor the next version. After that i planned support for animations, nurbs, multitexture and smaller things.

good work bart, can we now also import vrml2 and x3d files in blender?
