Adding python scripts under OS X?

Post by Rhs_CG » Sun May 14, 2006 6:01 am

I have been trying to get Blender to recognize a python script (for SunFlow), but I cant find a way to get them into Blender, for there is no Scripts folder. I'm running on a MacBook Pro, if that has anything to do with the situation. Does anyone know what's up?

(BTW, Sunflow SCREAMS on Intel-Macs)

Hi,

didn't see your post before, there are two or three ways to do so. The blender.app is an application bundle and the .scripts directory is inside of it.

Whay I generally do is use the command line to copy the script into the scripts directory. Another method might be to open the file then navigate inside the .app to the directory. (I think folders with a leading . are hidden by default so not sure how easy this is).

You might want to check at the user forms blenderartists.org - these are the developer forums which tend to be less knowledgable abo/time available at answering usage questions.

Howdie. To find the scripts folder, get a hold of Tinkertool (free to download) and, in the Finder menu, turn on the Show Hidden and System Files button. Then click on Reset Finder.

All shall then be revealed =)

[path is: show package contents of Blender/Contents/MacOS/.blender/scripts]

enjoy, brother :D
