The interface, modeling, 3d editing tools, import/export, feature requests, etc

Where blender stores interface themes on a Mac

Post by mooncaine » Thu Feb 28, 2013 6:59 pm

On a Mac, I found where Blender saves its default themes, and also where my custom themes are located. (I needed this so I could transfer my fave theme to a newer version).

Blender default themes:

They are inside the blender.app (which is really a special kind of folder). To browse inside it, right-click blender.app and choose "Show Package Contents."

With my Blender 2.66 blender.app, the full path to the files is this:

/Applications/Blender 2.66/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/2.66/scripts/presets/interface_theme

You probably shouldn't make any changes while Blender is running, though.

I found my own custom themes in my user library folder, here:

/Users/[your_user_name]/Library/Application Support/Blender/2.65/scripts/presets/interface_theme
