I'm new! Reeeeally want to change my zoom to option+trackpad

Hello,

I've checked the preference panel and I see the options for zoom, but can't find where I might be able to change key/mouse/trackpad commands. I'm using a laptop and the pinch-zoom function is working, but its pretty erratic.

Any idea how to change it to, say, an option+ two finger trackpad scroll like in Adobe?
