Hi,
my name is Jiri Hnidek. I'm student of The Technical University in Liberec in The Czech Republic. I do thesis mainly making implicit surfaces. I made some screenshots of new MetaBall types:

or
I made binary for you. It is only for Linux
. I have to warn you, that it is full of bugs. I have still problems with saving and reading files with new MetaElems and memory mangement of bounding boxes. New types of metaballs are available. We can change Tube, Square and Cube with parametr len in in Edit buttons(F9). Polygonization is faster now.
blender-meta.tar.bz2
I hope, that all this will be available in Blender 2.29
Don't report any bugs. It is only for fun. I will be happy for your feedback, and opinion. My email addres is
jiri.hnidek@vslib.cz .
Have a fun with new MetaBalls!
Jiri Hnidek

this would be a great addition to blenders metaballs, I hope that it becomes part of 2.29 that would be very good...
