Blender Basics classroom tutorial
Moderators: jesterKing, stiv
Ok everyone- I broke up my tutorial book into 3 separate PDF files so I can post them on my website one at a time. Part 1 is uploading right now and if all is functional, start checking in a few hours. Feel free to download and let me know how it is- typos and all!
In a few days, I will switch it over to part 2, a few days later, post part 3. That should make all 85 pages available. Print quality on a laserjet looks pretty good.
I'll make a more formal post tomorrow.

Hey Jim,
looks good so far!~I saw a few typos. but, maybe Word could help with some spellingfailures.
The thing which I encountered myself as difficult to read for students is the amount of commands they have to do. You've written them in long sentences. I found that putting them into pointwise-sections is a lot more easy to read (do you get my point, I kind of lost it...
)
But overall, good work!

I guess that was a problem. I tried to keep the page count down and straight listing would have given me a few hundred pages more. That's why I start with a short lesson, then go to this.

I have been following blender since it first came out and I was part of the original donators to release the code. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much to help the community lately, but I think I can see an opportunity.
I have a 200MB site with a large monthly transfer limit. I can mirror the PDF files for you teachtech. I can either allow you direct linking, or make a webpage for them, your choice. Let me know what you'd like.

Thanks Statik- this would be wonderful. If you could create a page for it, I can place a link to it on mine. When I post the next 2 files, can you grab them and post them on yours? I plan to put up part 2 tomorrow sometime. Then I'll change my site to reflect that. I guess it would be best to keep them as three file to help with downloading for people like me that still have slow dial-up connections. I could also dump you the entire file from my school connection if you have a way. You can reply here or email me at jchronister@cdsd.k12.pa.us
Thanks so much

It looks like you made the links incorrect. They are:
http://www.statikonline.com/BlenderTutorialPart1.pdf
http://www.statikonline.com/BlenderTutorialPart2.pdf
They need to have the "Blender" dir in front of the tutrorialPDF name:
http://www.statikonline.com/Blender/Ble ... lPart1.pdf
http://www.statikonline.com/Blender/Ble ... lPart2.pdf
thanks!
