bf-blender / Windows (2004/07/05) and YafRay Windows
There's a newer build
Loads of new things again:
* direct-edit click for numbuts
* awesome new color picker (click a COL button)
* three new material IPOs: displacement (All Mappings), translucency (All Colors) and RayMirror (All Colors).
* see help menu for b3org.py script. Test it if you have a full Python 2.3 install, and please report on behaviour (esp. if it blocks Blender UI).
enjoy!

(ps. sorry for being shorthanded, but see http://www.blender.org/pipermail/bf-blender-cvs/ for the commit logs)

great, great! copy and paste colors - i love that!!
thanks so much for the efforts.
coming back to my previous proposal - how about moving the ramps completely to the texture tabs and replacing the blend texture type?? especially the new input types would come in handy for many tricks.
anyways great stuff

See this thread for info on how to use the included yafray. In the same thread there's an installer. Should work.dante wrote:Blender crashes when trying to render from plugin. Console says that the Yafray plugin couldnt be found. I tried placing the yafray plugin folder in the application data folder (im using XP) but that didnt work either.
Everything else works fine though.

It took me a few minutes to find the color picker (it's not really clear where to get it), but now I can only say: Oooh, that color picker is nice!!
Will it be put into the theme settings as well?
(picking colors for themes is still a bit hard to do without a picker)
(possibly with the removal of occluded vertices on the screen? which are still visible in my copy of tuhopuu)

Yeah, me would like to see that included as well.ZanQdo wrote: What about the ignore occluded vertices option from tuhopuu? it works perfect for mi

cool!
Exciting additions!
But, let me get this straight, you can only make an official win32 build with MSVC but these testing builds are all tar.gz?? *sigh*
Ignore Occluded would be cool. We have "undo" now, I'd hate to think the original Blender holdouts are making a "Custer's Last Stand" on the whole hide/reveal thing... I am still sick of selecting the wrong vertex and having to use the Undo..
Thanks for the builds JesterKing! I can't wait to try it out!

In the most recent version in CVS, there's a button (containing the original colour) that you can click on to revert the colour to the original one.oyster wrote:Thanks. The color picker is great. But one question: what if I don't want to change the color after pick a color, how to cancel the operation?
