You can check my progress here

I am actually looking to replace the current CTRL-F "flip edge" function with this more robust implementation.

This program looks a lot like blender.. it's a bit scary. And presently, cgtalk posted the top 20 CG events of 2004. Modo made number #18. We need to blow this app out of the water. Maya. 3ds max.. WE need to be on the list for 2005. Let's make the GUI even better than it alrady is.. Some of the proposals for redesigns on the FX panel and for logic bricks are the most useful as I can see thus far.

Luxology Modo's mainly largest killer over blender is the easy-to-understand icons for every function. Maybe we can work on some..? and ooh.. have their color reflect the color settings for the layout..! Though, of course, we don't have to waste space on things like move/rotate/scale because of the awesome hotkeys.. just think about it though.. Presently selecting between point/line/face does not have a pop-up panel likely because it's so new. I think it needs to be closer to the user.

Under 'tutorials' there's one that shows you how to make a soccerball. Now that Blender has a good global action undo system, it might be good to follow in these footsteps of including "photoshop-style" recordable actions for playback.
Okay, and lastly, you can see that on the pop-under panels, the keyboard shortcut is labeled on the right side. Doing the same would save excelntWhale from keeping a web-based listing.

Re: youch
Have you tested Modo yet ?? And Blender looks a lot like softimage. All software at some point looks like each other. If you can somehow get the coders and users to become 50-50 then we might see some super top ten charts, one can dreambmud wrote:This program looks a lot like blender.. it's a bit scary.
