nice build, but why no ZIP? ZIP is built into XP now and all, why not use it.

Yep, agreed. A regualr zip file would be great.
Ive tried downloading from turbosquid several times now and keep getting a corrupted 7zip file.
Have you considered uploading the files to graphicall (sp!)?

Simply because 7zip is as free as ZIP and offers a higher compression factor (10~25% better compression). And there are different free archivers that support it:
7zip itself
TugZip
ZipGenius
Under Linux too:
the KDE archiving tool supports 7zip as long as you install the p7zip package.
For the corrupted file question, try installing and using a download manager, however I'm going to move those downloads to a dedicated server hosting tomorrow.

I'm lovin' the following feature
'Around Individual Centers: now works for each face when scaling/rotating mutliple faces at once'
I don't think Maya can do this (though I might need correcting)

You're right! I was doing some modelling and then I did exactly that - scaled about multiple selected faces around their individual centers - and I did wonder why I hadn't been able to do that before.

To be really usefull, this feature need to work with islands, instead of faces.

FYI, a really good freeware ZIP equivalent to WinZip on Windows is Ultimate Zip ->
http://www.ultimatezip.com
Opens all formats WinZip opens and integrates into the Windows shell. I use it all the time.
