time for a new update...once again after the post sunday meeting commit frenzy
this time I patched in the new cloth patch by zaz & the new fly mode patch by campbellbarton...they are both wips so check them out and give the coders some feedback
Contains the full version of Action Baking that's now partially implemented in current cvs. Full version in includes the ability to properly bake object-level motion into bone-level action, a new blending mode for NLA (Multiply), and MatchBone, which allows one NLA strip to start where another leaves off.
Add an Action strip to your armature in NLA, select it, and hit Shift-B.
Action Bake menu pops up. Choosing Object to Action will bake object-level motion (whether from keyframing, paths, constraints, etc.) into an Action. NLA to Action bakes the current state of NLA into an all-new Action. Bake All does the first, then the second, giving you a single Action Strip that represents all motion for the object.
Pop up the NLA n-key panel to see the new NLA blending mode "multiply", which is used when baking, and can be useful for other stuff, too.
Also on NLA panel is controls for MatchBone. If you have two overlapping actions, and you want the newest one to start where they overlap, type in the bone that should "stay put" during the transition (usually the bone of the weight-bearing foot at that point in animation), and active the Match button. Later action strips will be based on this transition spot.
