Well, Hello every body:
I've been searching in the Web for an objective comparison between Blender 2.42 and new Maya 7, Max 8 or LW 9 but I only found old comparisons that only take into account blender 2.2x, others, max forums, of course they say blender stink.
If someone with years of experience in blender arena and in other 3D App could help me, especially considering the newest versions of Blender and the rest of the 3D applications.
Thank!
I noticed a couple of things are off for blender, anyone here have write
access? If so fill in the following:
extrude tool key binding is e
Knife tool key binding is control-R
would close ploy hole be f?
blender does support dxf export
The primary renderer is listed as a link when it should say:
ScanLine and Hybrid Raytracing
I want to thank you for the fast answer you gave me, although I couldn´t answer you sooner.
For waht I could see blender is standing in a good position among the others. But this is a struggle for the best place, the best App, there´s no time for resting.
What about the amazing Maya Paint Tool? Does Blender have something like that in the future?, because I found the Image manipulation tool in Blender quite primitive.
Thank again
Depends on what painting you mean.
There is no geometry create painting in blender (creating grass, trees, tubes, particles, flares, etc etc)
The pixel painting on a 3d object is sort of okay in both.
And the pixel painting on a 2d surface is non-existing in Maya.
Both have brushing object deform...
Even the Maya poly deform painter is... well... hmm... not as good as Zbrush. But Maya has native local subdiv levels, which helps geo-deform-painting alot. I think this is something that blender will get as well.
