Sorry, forget to join it.
Attention, a very important thing : it (python25.dll and python25.zip) will not be in the official release if users of win32 OS do not strongly protest against this very strange choice.

Blender does not have 'unsatisfied dependencies'. It is just pining for the fjords!Koba wrote:Are you saying Blender will ship with unsatisfied dependencies?
Sorry. Monty Python joke. The next release of Blender will be done with Python 2.5 on platforms that support it.
I am not sure what jms is saying. I could not parse the red text.
Note: renaming .dlls is generally a bad idea.
Blender should work but not a lot of the bundled scripts if the complete python 2.5 is not installed.Koba wrote:Can you explain a little of what is going on jms?

And it seems that Blender can work without any python dll since the 2.40.

Blender for Windows will come with enough Python 2.5 so that all the bundled scripts will run. On the other platforms, we expect to find Python installed.jms wrote:Blender should work but not a lot of the bundled scripts if the complete python 2.5 is not installed.
Other non-bundled scripts may require a full Python install.
