Sintel logo/indentity

Here's my suggestion for the Sintel logo. Attached it a B&W version as well as 2 color versions.

I created the font from scratch. It's supposed to reflect similarities to the tattoos worn in Sintel's culture. The sharp points suggest the danger, the curves suggest both the dragon and the young girl.

The "i" is a modified version of David's concept sketch of Sintel.

The first color version picks up the dragon scales from David's concept art of the dragon.

Hello !

This is a new shot from the last bunch, I wasn't totally satisfied with the colors.

And i think it's enough for the moment.. The guys at the Blender Institute gonna have a headache to choose the good one ! There's many good works posted ! Bravo !

The tree is a little bit pixelized.. sorry ! Anyway, this is the SVG File

Maybe i'll post if i have the "Ultimate idea" but sincerely, i'm just turning around and i'm only playing with the Inkcape settings ! ha ha !

Oh my. How the hell can you guys be so fast?

I saw logo designs appearing within 24 hours of that blog post! Anyway, I'm a slow worker, and I spent the last few days since the announcement (~15 hours total) designing my version of the logo. It's pretty much ready now (but comments to improve it are welcome of course), so here it is.

Note: this is hosted on my personal server, which has a slow upload speed (it's a residential connection!): if only one person at a time is visiting, it would normally take 10-15 seconds to load... so if many of you visit at the same time, you'll have to be a patient if it's overloaded

Here, I'm showing only one of the variants (to avoid taking too much space, and to save bandwidth). In this version, the logo is actually quite small, so you can't really see the fine details (like the scales)...

Edit: My Internet service provider just sent me this notice:

I used it on BW because I think Is far more accurately the decision of color from the team that knows exactly what should be be shown in the Image/Identity...
