I'm just wanted to give a small update on BlenderCloud, my project for "cloud computing"-based 3D rendering of Blender scenes.
The project started in 2010 based on the known DrQueue render management software. In 2011, I started to develop DrQueueIPython, a possible successor to DrQueue and integrated it into the web interface DrQueueOnRails and the cloud management software DrQueueCloudControl.
Now BlenderCloud runs on the new software stack and besides that, it got some new features:
* based on Ubuntu 11.10 64bit
* uses Blender 2.6.2 with Cycles support and other cool features
* directly usable through easy member sign-up & PayPal integration
* a variety of VM machine types for different purposes
I'm searching for beta testers! If you would like to test this rendering service for free as a beta user and can give me some feedback, please sign-up at https://login.blendercloud.net/users/sign_up and send me an email at email@example.com . Thanks.
