Does anyone know how to import skyrim nif files into blender 2.62 or is it just not going to happen for some time. I really want to change the style of some of the weapons but don't want to have to load an earlier version of blender, running 2 copies of blender might cause some computing problems but not sure its even possible. Thanks for any help

There is/was a nif script, but I don't know its current state.

Running two different versions of blender should be no problem since they use their own config dirs.

I know that they're are Nif import scripts for Oblivion and Morrowind called Nif Tools, but i don't know whether they are compatible with Skyrim or newer blenders.

Also having two blenders is possible as i have that setup (blender 2.49 b & blender 2.62). When you install another blender you just have to change the directory so it doesn't overwrite the other blender.

Niftools -
