REQUEST: Granny 2 Import/Export plug-in for Blender?

OK, I´d like to make a request for an import/export plug-in for Blender. My concern is the Granny 2 program and its .gr2 format.

Granny 2 is used in several games, so having a plugin is essential for modding those games as you need to convert your models to .gr2 format to make them work in the games.

There are some import/export programs available, for example here is a page where there are plug-ins available for 3ds Max: http://gr2decode.altervista.org/index.html

Perhaps these plug-ins could be used as a basis for a Blender version which would allow for import of .gr2 files into blender and export of blender files into .gr2 format.

I ask that those who develop blender plug-ins look into this issue and see what can be done.

C++ source for the importer:

looks like a quite complex format and a lot of work...
I'm sitting, waiting, wishing, building Blender in superstition...
