i need help saving my blender project

everytime i try to save my project it says it saved but when i go to open it the icon is a peice of paper and it says the file is not there so i need help saving my projects successfully

Ok, walk me through, exactly what you are selecting when you save, and what directory you are trying to save it to.

k i am trying to save my project under pool.blend i have just clicked save as i have tried saving it on both me e drive and c drive and it just isnt working

So if you close Blender, then strart a new session, you cannot Open File and select your pool.blend?

After you click "Save" from the menu, you need to also click "Save as blender file" in the upper right hand corner of the browser window.
