new uv mapper?

new uv mapper?

I got an idea for uv mapping, could we do it with using primatives as a camera for the uv editor, it would make cylandrical, box and sphere work much better, we would have more control. :?

well anybody listening what da ya think?

pressing control+numpad0 on ANY object will make it the camera
this is very useful for spot lamps (as the limit setting apply too)

but making the view so that you could do a cylindrical projection or whatever I guess would not work.

Umm, a number of people are asking for improved uv options

I think intergration of a method like what wings uses would be nice too.

(any other way to implement the asked question by hanzo?)

:shock: :D I know the camera thing!

but I didn't mean that I ment useing a primitive as a guider for the uv wrapings.

I know this is posable they did it in max and maya? :twisted: I think I'll check up on wings..
