Bug? Cannot change text in SaveAs dialog

I've installed Blender 2.47 and 2.48 in the past week on a Lenovo T61 Laptop with WinXP.

In blender, when one wants to save a file, one goes into that little box and clicks on it in order to change the name (away from Untitled.blend ).

In both versions of blender on this box, I've been unable to edit the text in that dialog box. I believe I'm also frustrated in changing the name of a Vertex group.

Past evidence says this is related to poor OpenGL support in your video card/driver.

Usual driver fixes apply:

- turn off compositing window managers
- update to latest driver or
- rollback to previous driver
- turn down/off hardware acceleration.

Any tips on how to update to the latest driver of OpenGL?
I've looked around and am not sure.
Will Blender ever release a bug fix for this?

No, because it is not a bug in Blender.

Driver updates are usually available either from either the vendor of your graphics card or operating system.
