I am looking for someone talented at Blender who is willing to volunteer to lead a 45-minute presentation on the power of Blender (i.e. short live demonstrations, previous personal projects, popular open source projects) to high school students in Cincinnati, OH for a 700+ attendee technology expo.
READ ON FOR DETAILS:
I am a Digital Design freshman at the University of Cincinnati and student Steering Committee member for TechOlympics Expo, a conference being produced by the INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati at the Millennium Hotel March 5 - 7, 2010. This collaboration of more than 45 businesses, 56 high schools, and 4 universities started up less than 5 years ago to encourage Cincinnati high school students to attend local colleges to study technology is now preparing for a first annual 700+ attendee technology expo. I have been asked to reach out to those familiar and skilled with Blender.
The TechOlympics Expo is a healthy competition among high school students from all over the Greater Cincinnati region. The expo is from Friday, March 5 to Sunday March 7, during which competitions will take place and students will attend breakout sessions. I am writing to ask you to consider helping us by running a 45-minute breakout session in which you will demonstrate Blender. As a presenter, you will be asked to visit the Millennium Hotel (where the expo will take place) around 10am Sunday morning and will be finished before noon. For more information about the conference, please visit http://www.techolympics.org.
If you are interested, please email me at your earliest convenience as to whether you are able to volunteer as a Blender presenter. Thank you.
