Big budget sounding score for a teeny price... An idea.

Things to consider first:

1. The strength behind Blender and open movie projects is the ability to leverage many people, while still being co-ordinated by a talented few.
2. The open movie projects don't (yet! ;-)) have the huge budgets of massive blockbuster films.
3. We would still like to be able to have the production values - where possible - of the huge budget films.
4. The soundtrack is one of the hardest places to create that because budget constraints typically mean we can't afford to hire a 150 piece choir + orchestra etc.

Now watch this short video (with quality headphones). The participants never left home to take part. They are all volunteers (other than a couple of scholarships). Read, budget=near $0.00

and how they did it.

Man, I'd love to give Jan and the soundtrack access to these this kinds of resources and richness, either for Durian, or Mango if need be.

Anyway, just wanted to share an idea / opportunity. Thanks team Durian for keeping up the inspiration!
