I am new to this forum (and to blender)
I am currently doing a PhD in chemistry, and I am using blender for making sketches of the systems I am working on. The systems tend to grow quite large, and I find myself using a lot of time aligning and welding separate blocks of my system. I am looking for at way to optimize my workflow. Below Is a sketch of what I am trying to do:
I have say 3 building blocks (think LEGO) that can be connected in multiple ways. Ideally I would like a workflow where I can click on the position where I want to extend my system, then click on the position on the building block I want to add to the system, and then have it automatically align and weld to the rest of the system.
Do any of you have an idea how to achieve this?
