Off topic, but need help with blenderartists.org

I know this doesn't really belong here, so apologies in advance.

HOWEVER, this problem is driving me absolutely mad. I can't post anything on the Blender Artists forum. I have tried to follow the steps here:

However, when I try to reply to this forum I get the following:

aaronnewton, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I have never posted, so the reason seems to be lack of activation. I'm sure I never got the activation since I'm using gmail and therefore have a search function for my inbox/archive.

Does anyone know how to contact these guys?

Sometimes the problem can be your location / IP or the thread is closed for a newbie user..
