From Blender to Flash. Anyone ?

Post by valekio » Sat Dec 03, 2011 12:15 am

Hi everyone.

I would very much like to use some of my models in websites.
For the moment i just tried to export in images and make a .gif

Does anyone know how to set it up to use in Flash ?

Thank's a lot the community ;)

Export to a video format and convert it to flash with an external tool like ffmpeg.

I was going to suggest rendering as an AVI, then uploading to YouTube and embedding the video in his site.

But then thought maybe he meant he wanted the 3D models inside a Flash app as an interactive display... in which case, I have no idea. :)

Flash doesn’t do 3D graphics. The up-and-coming open standard for doing this is WebGL. But since that is based on OpenGL, which doesn’t define any file format, you’d have to generate your model as a JavaScript data structure with some code to go with it.

Actually Flash does 3D as of Flash player 11. It is called Stage 3D.

There are several flash engines that support importing 3D models and 3D interaction. Here are a few:
