Hi Guys i am working on my free time designing a new keyboard whose name is the key64 keyboard and our motto is "No more keys than you can type on".
The Key64 is an Open Design, Minimalist, Ergonomic, Splittable, Symmetric, Compact 64 Keys, Eco-Friendly, Durable, Native Colemak Keyboard with Embedded Mouse and Firmware Programmable USB Keyboard.

Since this is open hardware design i am working with 100% free software tools in order to develop the whole electronics behind it.
I am at the initial stage, and i would like to have a nice 3d render image of the keyboard but i am not good at design, and since this is open hardware it must be developed under a free tools like blender and the blender files who make the design should be distributables as well.
So if someone take a look at the initial design and find it interesting and think you can join the key64 project and collaborate developing a 3d model i will be very glad to hear from you.

Hi, i still need your help, i am not a designer, just take in mind this is open source hardware so every work under this umbrella must be released under the GPL license.
I have been working lately in the keyboard footprint if you need the sizes of the keyboard http://www.key64.com/news-1/first-pcb-prototype , also there is a pdf version of the of the diagram if you want to print and see if it follow your hands shape http://www.key64.com/progress/pcb-left.pdf .
Of course all the credits will belong to you and i will post you work under the key64 webpage and the keyboard community forums for everyone to see what you have done.
Check out a similar project at ergo dox he made the 3d prototype using solidworks, but as you know solidworks is not opensource, so people can't contribute easy to improve the 3d model when they want.
