Help on unding hidden vertices

Post by Nick B » Thu Oct 25, 2012 2:21 pm

I have been working on a model in 2.64 for days and in a rush, I hit 'H' and not 'G'.

As a result, the selected vertices became hidden, but do you think I can find the command for unhide?

Even in the manual - which incidentally does not bring up anything on 'how to', just that you can - I have spent a good hour trying to wade through subject after subject to ascertain just how to undo the hide and have ended up hiding the entire mesh and cannot get it back.

According to the internet, Ctrl+H is supposed to do it, but it appears that this command now brings up a hook menu.

I don't wish to appear thick, but surely if 'H' is already assigned to hiding elements, it should be exclusive to that and associated commands, not something apparently unrelated?

Please help. I'm trying to work on my 2005 Mustang model, which is complicated enough without landing up with gaping holes that I can't fill

in edit mode, hit Alt + H or click menu Mesh > Show/Hide > Show hidden
I'm sitting, waiting, wishing, building Blender in superstition...
