Grainy/Incorrect Lighting while Rendering

I just started using blender and am really enjoying it! I decided to do the ginger bread man tutorial when I ran into a problem: the ginger bread man looks really grainy (while rendering, I think it may be the lighting?), this happened very early on in the tutorial. I don't know why, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the problem is and how to fix it...?
