tablet issues

Post by CECO » Thu Mar 06, 2008 9:56 am

Hi there!

Recently I got Genius MousePen 6x8 tablet. It is very cheap but works more then perfect with Photoshop, compared with my previous Trust 400(more perfect compared even with Graphire4).
At work I'm using Graphire4 and there are no problems with pressure in Blender. Even my old Trust didn't have any problems in Blender, but with the new MousePen I can't get any pressure.

I'll be very gratefull for any suggestions how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Ceco, could you use your Genius Tablet with Blender? I have the same and the pressure doesn't work.

I am having similar issues with blender and my tablet - a Monoprice 12x9 (PF1209 Uc-logic based) tablet.

Excellent value, but unfortunately the pressure is not recognized by blender.

There is a similar problem found with both the gimp and Krita. But I have found a .conf workaround for Krita.

I use Ubuntu. Not sure at this point if it is a problem with the OS or the app. But since I it works with MyPaint, and now with Krita, and it is a confirmed bug in GIMP, I am assuming that Ton and the blender foundation may need to add all non wacom tablets into the code somewhere.
